Celebration Studios is 16 track, tape based all digital project studio in Chesapeake, Virginia.
As well as being a full service studio, we have produced a number of professional quality sample banks for the Peavey SP and
SP+ digital sample playback units.
Due to the high price of quality sample banks, and the poor quality of the more
affordable ones, I decided to make my own. Using professional players, and digital recording technologies, I have produced
a series of samples that sound as true to life as possible. Very little EQ and no effects have been added to these sounds.
They are what their respective instruments sound like as recorded. Due to long duration sample times (+5 seconds in most
cases), and painstaking effort, loop points are nearly indistinguishable.
Samples are taken (with very few exceptions)
at minor thirds. This means that the reproduced sound is never more than one half step from the original sample.
This
also means that a healthy amount of sample RAM must be available to load these banks (eight MEG minimum).
